    Goodwill has an opening for a Production Worker EX3000 to perform a variety of operational functions that constitutes the assembly and production of quality products or services for commercial customers.

     

    We are providing transportation to the worksite in Blacksburg from the Roanoke jobs campus each working day. Schedule will be Monday- Thursday 9 AM - 4:30 PM.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures
    • Adheres to all quality standards as outlined in the Quality Management System (QMS)
    • Displays positive work ethics
    • Follows direct instructions from supervisor
    • Works as part of a team
    • Mixes, measures and pours ingredients
    • Loads and unloads items from machines and carts
    • Assembles the materials needed to produce finished products
    • May use power tools to drill, screw, staple and assemble parts
    • Meets quotas and production standards
    • Affixes labels, logos and other exterior details to products
    • Packs up completed products
    • Observes and removes faulty product from assembly
    • Reports issues or problems with production to supervisor

    ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested for successful completion of the mission of GIV.

     

     

    Qualifications

     Experience, Competencies and Education:

    Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or

    equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Language Skills

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

    Ability to write simple correspondence.

    Mathematical Skills

    Basic Skills: Ability to add and subtract.

    Reasoning Ability

    Basic Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but

    uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few

    concrete variables in standardized situations.
