The e-Commerce Clerk for ShopGoodwill (SGW) position will perform a variety of operational functions in support of GIV’s E-Commerce store. Responsible for processing, inspecting, photographing, listing, picking, packing, shipping, and sorting E-Commerce item donations, as well as delivering prompt, courteous, and consistent customer service and order delivery.
General Duties and Housekeeping:
Education, Experience and Competencies
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience selling through online auction sites is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM. Good knowledge of one or more Goodwill product lines (ie, glassware, musical instruments, jewelry, etc.) is preferred. Computer confidence, specifically with online search engines, online auction sites and other popular shopping sites (ie Amazon.com), and Microsoft Office products is required.
